Mediocre Minds

I have quite a few heroes that I look up to. For me these people provide invaluable guidance, wisdom and perspective. To name a few Ronald “Dutch” Reagan, Marget “The Iron Lady” Thatcher, Winston Churchill, George “Blood and Guts” Patton, Nicola Tesla, Thomas Sowell, Walter E. Williams and at least a dozen others.

These are people who knew what was right and never allowed themselves to be swayed by what “felt” good or was popular at the time. These are people who pursued what was right no matter the cost to themselves or their “image.” These hardy souls often paid a hefty price for choosing wisely and doing the right thing over the popular or convenient thing.

I wonder sometimes if these were the kinds of people one of my budding hero’s ( I haven’t officially added him but he is on my short list ) Albert Einstein, was talking about when he said, “Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds.”

This is amply demonstrated today. Everywhere one looks today, the mediocre minds are running the place. In the media, schools and colleges, large corporations, entertainment industry and especially in the government the mediocre minds cling desperately to both their power and their ideals of progressive liberalism and political correctness. If you don’t believe me, try straying from the official party line in any of these “special interest groups” and see what happens to you. I have and I can tell you it isn’t pleasant.

Members of the TEA Party are called racist for simply asking the government to do what most of us do on a daily basis, don’t spend more than you earn. And how dare those “teabaggers” think they should keep more of what they earn. After all, certain people are “entitled” to the possessions of others. You know, the welfare part of the constitution.

Parents of school shooting victims (speaking from a place of pain I know but still choosing to be wrong ) thinking that further burdening law abiding gun owners will prevent criminals from perpetrating evil. This despite the fact their children were murdered in “gun free zones.” I mean really, if a law was going to work then….hello, is this thing on?

Homosexuals believing their deviant lifestyle should be a civil right. I don’t know about you but I am tired of being lectured on tolerance and civility by people who believe that if a boy hasn’t had sex with a man by age eight (NAMBLA) he is “ruined.” Or, when a young male student reports having sex with a male teacher the counselor ( little Barry’s Safe School Czar nominee ), instead of reporting the incident as required by law, advises the student to be sure and use a condom next time. These are the same people who believe shoving their arms up someone’s rectum is a normal behavior. It’s not normal, it has never been normal and if you think it is, you’re not normal. And for the record I don’t think there is anything wrong with normal.

Teachers who think teaching children the fiction of man made global warming, politically correct speech codes and “white privilege” is more important than reading, writing, arithmetic or critical thinking skills. Then there is their near religious devotion to a demonstrably false narrative that “more money” equals better education. And don’t get me started on the garbage they call history now days. The term “revisionist history” is too polite for that trash. The simple fact is that most college graduates today could not pass the 1860 6th grade graduation test. In my opinion that, along with their slavish devotion to environmental make believe, makes many educators vastly overpaid given the product they turn out.

Religion of peace apologists. Any “faith” that teaches that ones highest religious duty is experience “martyrdom”, that a women who has been raped must be killed for having unlawful sex, that one must convert or kill all non believers, provides husbands with instructions on how to beat their wives or demands that apostates must be killed, is no faith. It’s called a cult and in this case it is a cult that relishes abuse, death and destruction. And no, I am not labeling Islam, I am accurately describing it. Deal with it.

Amnesty proponents. If you really believe that those who broke the law to get here and stay here deserve free housing, education, healthcare etc, then break out YOUR wallet to pay for it. I am already working two jobs to keep skippy on his “entitled” welfare benefits. And no, this attitude does not make me a racist. It makes me one of those silly people who think I should be able to keep what is mine. Get over it.

Finally, due to time constraints, let me mention the angry atheists. I have never understood the deep-seated hatred they have toward God fearing people. What exactly is it about the Ten Commandments that scares them so? And why do they have to hide behind so much hate? And yet no atheist I know of pursues Muslims they way they do Christians. Why is that? And for the record there is no founding document that proclaims a separation of church and state, only a prohibition of establishing a state religion. If the mediocre minds would make the effort to actually read our founding documents, well lets be honest, they wouldn’t like what they read. I can hear them asking, “But, isn’t it unconstitutional to have God in the Constitution?”

So, now, according to the media, most popular culture icons (I am proud to admit I don’t think I know who any of them are), most college graduates as well as nearly all the leaders in high government positions, I am a religious, gun owning, racist anti immigration teabagger.

To paraphrase one of my heroes, “There they go again.”

The Tolerance of Liberals

I confess. I have no liberal friends. It’s not that I haven’t tried. It is just that the level of intellectual flexibility or, frankly, dishonesty required to participate willingly in such a philosophy eludes me. I am truly thankful for that. Liberals I notice have a tendency to talk a lot but say very little. I have been listening to the left carefully for the last four years. I think I finally understand what you liberals are saying about me and those like me.

After four years of “leadership” we now have more Americans on food stamps, welfare and disability than ever. Because I dare to criticize little Barry for this stunning incompetence you call me a racist.

Because I continue to ask questions that little Barry refuses to answer, like why he sent thousands of guns to Mexican drug lords, like why he believes disarming law abiding citizens will prevent crime, like why he believes illegal aliens deserve our tax dollars more than the citizens that earn those dollars, you say I am a troublemaker.

For daring to think you are not entitled to what I have earned you call me a greedy, evil capitalist.

I believe that because I have committed no crimes the constitution prohibits little Barry from taking my guns. For believing in and defending my clearly defined Second Amendment rights you call me a terrorist.

Because I believe in the sanctity of marriage between a man and women and that human history should not be rewritten to satisfy a handful of militant ingrates you say I am a homophobe.

I support and defend the constitution and the plain meaning of the words written in it. You call me a Tea Bagger because I don’t believe that it is a “living” document subject to the whims of whoever holds office at the time.

You call me a threat to national security because I refuse to be silent about things that make you uncomfortable.

For daring to notice that little Barry and his administration has given hundreds of millions of tax dollars to those who gave money to his election campaigns you call me a traitor.

For pointing out documented facts like the Social Security Administration and Department of Homeland Security have purchased enough ammunition to fight twenty-four Afghanistan wars you call me a conspiracy theorist.

For believing that our founding principles are worth holding on to, have created the greatest country in the history of the world and desiring our country to return to those principles you say I am anti American.

Because I noticed that the only law enforcement review of little Barrys citizenship has found numerous and legitimate questions concerning the veracity of those documents and because I notice that little Barry has spent tens of millions of tax dollars to prevent his “records” from being made public, you call me a Birther.

Because I believe that morals cannot be “relative”, that some things will always be wrong simply because they are wrong, that Jesus died for my sins and wants me to be the best I can be while loving and helping my fellow men, and because I refuse to support a religion that mandates the murder of innocents, promotes “honor killings” and slavery, you say I am a religious fanatic.

Because they have all volunteered, given up so much on our behalf, some even giving all, I fully and wholeheartedly support our troops. For recognizing their honor, courage, faith and sacrifice you call me a warmonger.

Because I support limited, legal immigration and oppose the creeping imposition of Muslim Sharia law you call me a militant separatist.
Because I know 911 was committed by hateful religious fanatics who wanted to kill as many Americans as possible for the simple reason the we are Americans, I know 911 was not Americas fault. For this you say I am a hate monger.

Liberals it seems are very good at name-calling.

It should be clear to anyone who listens to what liberals say and watches what liberals do that there is no such thing as tolerance from a liberal. Like the Islamic faith, liberalism demands total, blind and absolute obedience. After all, when a liberal wants your opinion, they will give it to you and you will like it, or else.
