Can We Talk About Evan McMullin

Nearly everyone I know considers this election to be a tragic expression of just how badly politics has failed in America. While there is some truth to that statement this election is really the natural result of people not paying attention, not caring and not thinking. That as they say, is another article.

In my home state, Utah, a so called alternative to Trump has emerged. From out of nowhere comes Evan McMullin. To believe the people posting on my facebook account he is the savior himself. Of course I had to check him out. What I found out really disturbs me.

I started by going to his website. There is the customary puff piece biography and a lot of nice sounding generalities. A general lack of specifics set off another set of alarms in my mind.

Expanding my research and listed below, in no particular order of importance, is what I found out.

McMullin wants you to know that “refugees are not terrorists.” Well young man according to nearly all the top govt people involved in national security, many of them are. ISIS brags that it has infiltrated thousands of its homicidal maniacs into America through our “refugee” program and will continue to do so. The FBI, for what little they are worth now, says there are active ISIS/A Q cells in every state. Nearly everyone now admits there is no way, and there never has been, to actually vet these people. The Kenyans administration’s version of “rigorous vetting” is asking the refugee if he is a terrorist. As one of my coworkers would say, “Effin brilliant!” My question to Mr. McMullin, just how many American lives are you willing to sacrifice to political correctness. Just a number sir, no need for a long winded BS session.

McMullin says he loves the Seattle Seahawks (I can’t fault him for that I am a huuuuge fan too), John Boehner, and Paul Ryan. Dear lord, the man loves intellectual stupidity and political cowardice? Can he really be that thick? Boehner spent his much of his political life surrendering to the Kenyan. Ryan has been actively pushing the Kenyans anti American agenda and publicly lying about it.

On Boehner’s way out McMullin posted on Facebook, “Today we learned that Congress will soon lose a tremendous leader in Speaker Boehner.” McMullin seems to have an infatuation with Boehner. He called the republican establishment surrenderer in chief, “one of the most humble, gracious, and savvy leaders I’ve ever encountered.” He was he said, “grateful” for the opportunity “to learn” from Boehner. Yikes! What could Boehner have taught him, how to give the Kenyan everything he asked for? How to attack anyone who opposes the Kenyan? The fine art of unconditional surrender?

On his website he commits to little concrete on many issues. He does have a few specifics though.

From Evans Website

Without reform, Medicare and other entitlements will push our government to the edge of bankruptcy.” Hello, we are already there. He continues, “Instead, there should be a cap on federal support. This can be accomplished by giving states block grants instead of federal matching funds, or by giving states a fixed dollar amount for each individual enrolled in Medicaid. ”

I have read the Constitution several times, I can’t find anything about entitlements. It sounds to me like he prefers that the states will continue to get funding from big brother and, like everything that’s “free”, there will be strings attached giving the government defacto control over the states. Brilliant!

Deportation would also break up families, hurting children who are not responsible for their parents’ actions. Criminals, however, would still be subject to deportation.”

I guess criminals don’t have families. This is emotional manipulation of the highest order. The parents knew the consequences of breaking the law when they chose to do so and are completely to blame for their deportation, period. If their family is that important to them they can take their children with them. I’m sure Evan hasn’t read the Constitution or he would know that non-citizens have no rights. That doesn’t mean we treat them badly but it does mean they don’t get free lawyers, free education, free medical care, food stamps and free housing to name just a few of the many benefits the Kenyans administration gives away and McMullin thinks these lawbreakers deserve. When it comes to immigration Evan, you sound like someone who would not only contribute to the current problems but work hard to make them worse.

His position on religious liberty can be summed up with this precious tidbit, “As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I believe in traditional marriage between a man and a woman, but I respect the decision of the Court, and I think it’s time to move on,” McMullin said, according to Lifesite News. Sounds good but then McMullins intellectual cowardice sets in. Asked if a President McMullin would at least appoint Supreme Court justices who would overturn the Obergefell decision, he replied, “I wouldn’t.” He instead said its time to accept that the Left gets to decide what is in our Constitution and move on. (Hat tip Lifesite news)

While I have heard from some people McMullin will be on the ballot in as many as 47 states I can find nothing to back this up. Everything I have read shows that he’s already missed so many state deadlines that he literally can’t win an electoral college majority. As of this writing the best I can find is that he is on the ballot on 11 states. In other words, he doesn’t have a snowballs chance in the hot place of winning. I’m sorry guys but voting for this guy is just another vote for Clinton, which I believe was the plan all along.

McMullin says Trump’s “Muslim ban” proposal is both a moral and strategic disaster. Let’s tackle moral first.

He calls Trumps temporary ban on Muslim immigration “cowardly”, “ignorant,” and a threat to “our nation’s fundamental values.” Which values does he refer to? The value of not being assassinated for being gay? The value of not being subject to female genital mutilation? The value of not heaving your head chopped off for being a nonbeliever? The value of women being allowed to drive a car, work, vote, hold a job and get an education? As Ricky said to Lucy on more than one occasion, Evan, “you got some splaining to do!”

Evan consistently says we must welcome moslem refugees. I’m not for being rude but in looking at hundreds of pictures of “moslem refugees” world wide I see thousands of men 18-45, and virtually no women or children. As I review the history of the last few years of moslem immigration and their absolute refusal to assimilate and often violent criminal tenancies (Stockholm Sweden, having imported tens of thousands of “refugees” has gone from virtually no crime to the rape capitol of Europe) I find this statement bordering on suicidal. Just as a curious aside do you know the standard demographic of every army in the world? Let me help you out here, it is men 18-45. Coincidence? As Colonel Potter would say, “Horse hockey!”

He continues this moral charade by trying to guilt trip those of us aware enough of what’s going on to be worried about it. Accepting all these “refugees” without qualification or verification is the moral thing to do he insists. I don’t know how he defines moral but I pretty sure I wouldn’t let him go on a date with my daughter.

Strategically he says we need moslem help in overcoming moslem aggression. Uhm…ok I’m listening. Given moslems absolute delight in killing each other I’m not sure how this works. Is this a case of them killing each other off completely? For a CIA operative he seems painfully unaware just how badly every effort we have ever made to “help” the sixth century religion of barbarity has backfired on us. So what is the secret to ending jihad and producing a peaceful islam? After 1400 years of slavery, brutality and massive unrelenting bloodshed, I guess only Evan knows.

GOP strategist Rick Wilson, an establishment republican shill, closet democrat apologist and vocal Trump critic has signed on to help McMullin with his campaign launch. Not to be outdone, democratic strategist Ileana Wachtel has launched a pro-McMullin super-PAC. “Show me your friends,” my grandfather used to say “and I will tell you who you are.”

I’m not a huuuge conspiracy guy (although I do collect conspiracy theories as a hobby) but just for the record, McMullin is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. The CFR is on the record as opposing individual nationhood preferring one world government instead. Sorry Evan, I like my country and the freedoms guaranteed me by the Constitution to much to submit to some overpaid, uncaring criminal from the UN.

I believe it was in August, McMullin was on the Briet Baer show on Fox. He was asked directly, did he support TPP. For those who do not know, TPP surrenders American sovereignty to an un-elected group of foreigners whose decisions both public and secret will supersede American law. His answer…”Yes.” This alone should scare the hell out of you. I guess his time as an investment banker at the San Francisco office of Goldman Sachs, he worked in mergers and acquisitions as an associate, taught him the “value” of central economic planning.

As a person Evan McMullin seems like a decent enough sort. He seems to mean well and I would bet he’s never kicked the family dog. I believe his claim to want only the best for everyone is a sincerely held one. So was Neville Chamberlain’s desire for peace in our time. We saw how well that worked out.

Trump Rino’s and Party Discipline

I was never a huge Donald fan. Still aren’t but, hoping his early positions on things like immigration and islamic terrorism would drag the GOP back to reality I encouraged him to keep espousing them. Looking back now, it was a naive hope. Establishment hacks like Ryan and McCain continue to consolidate power by hooking up with democrats at every opportunity.

Ted Cruz was my first choice and now, thanks to Wikileaks, we know the Clinton’s were terrified of facing him in the general election. Clinton/Podesta emails show their preferred republican nominee was Trump. Given the level of coordination between the Hillary campaign and the media revealed by Wikileaks, I wonder who selected who in the republican primary this time around.

The latest revelation of Donald Trumps “shocking” statements of some eleven years ago has set the DNC and establishment republican RINO’s alight with hope. They hope that now, finally, the establishment can regain its center and continue with their accumulation of unwarranted power and the destruction of America uninterrupted.

I confess a certain amount of confusion over the flap. True Trump’s words were sad, hurtful, tragic even. As a democrat then he perfectly mirrored the accepted behavior of many democrats at the time, not the least of which was Hillary’s husband. That sort of behavior we were told by the media and the Clinton machine was a private matter and had no bearing on someones ability to govern. Those of us who thought character mattered were deemed repressive or perverted by the Clinton’s rabid supporters. Now look who is all sexually sensitive. Why the double standard? I mean, aside from the fact Trump is a “republican” now.

Honestly, how can anyone engaged in today’s gutter culture be offended by anything Trump said years ago? Have you watched TV lately? Have you listened to any of the late night so called comedy shows? Have you listened to any of the garbage that passes for music the last few years? Even worse, have you been to a Buy Once concert? (If you have I suggest counseling, quickly)

And really, how is it that all those talking heads, the ones who fell all over themselves defending the pervert Billy boy while he occupied the white house, expect me to accept their “outrage” over Trumps comments? Honestly, the intellectual gymnastics required to “follow” these people would put Olympic gymnasts to shame. I think sometimes that only Orwell’s Ministry of Truth could understand them.

Speaking of Ministry of Truth, my congressional delegation, now full fledged members of the ministry, have a lot to answer for. Senator Mike Lee, a man I really liked and respected has finally quit dancing on the sidelines and gone full RINO on Trump. Same for my Rep. Mia Love. Apparently their “principles” require only the virginal, as determined by them, to seek elected office. Good luck with that.

The democratic party has always been very good at enforcing party loyalty. If you doubt this ask democratic vice presidential nominee Joe Lieberman. He voted with the democrats in the senate 99.98% of the time. For his .02% transgression he was primaried out of his spot on his senate re-election ticket and had to run as an independent. He won but the message to every democrat was clear, 100% or you’re out.

Republicans it seems are adverse to anything approaching that level of party unity when it involves winning. The establishment RINO’s became the Stockholm Syndrome party years ago and simply will not surrender their victim status. They have bought completely into the lie peddled by democrats that victim status should be sought after, fought for and held dearly. I think many of them actually believe they deserve to be victims. And yes, that includes my senator, Mike Lee.

As evidence consider this. Lee has said he would refuse an appointment to the Supreme Court. Really? The one place where he could have the absolute most impact on an agenda he swears he cares about is a spot he has no interest in? The one spot he could stop the progressive liberal stupidity dead in its tracks, for maybe thirty plus years, he has no interest in? Me thinks the gentleman doth protest against Trump to much. Really Lee, tell us, did lyin RINO Ryan threaten to pull RNC funding for your re-election? Be honest now.

I didn’t forget Senator Hatch in all this. It’s just that all those years of associating with Ted “the swimmer” Kennedy have produced in him an advanced state of intellectual dementia. I don’t think Hatch visits Earth much anymore.

Then there is Mia Love. I voted for her because the democrat running against her was to hideous to contemplate. Like Trump she burst onto the local scene from virtually nowhere. Unlike Trump she had the experience of being mayor of a small town for a short time. Still, she sounded promising talking about fiscal responsibility and her love of America. Because she is a women I was tempted to more readily accept her outrage at Trumps comments but then I remembered that women want to be treated the same as men. Sorry Mia, your outrage doesn’t fly here.

Nationally, in an attempt to burnish their progressive/politically correct credentials, the establishment herd of “prominent” republicans have abandoned/withdrawn their support for Trump. I find this revealing. These individuals all agree that America is being fundamentally transformed in the worst way. Yet when presented with an opportunity to elect someone who will correct at least some of the most obvious problems America faces, they panic, turn tail and head for the tall grass. They do not seem to understand that the problems we face today took the last twenty five years to create. There is no way to solve them painlessly or quickly.

Many may construe this as my defense of Trump. Again, I am no Trump fan but as Jim Waurishuk posted on a comment board recently; “That said, as a private citizen Donald Trump did not steal your money. Donald Trump did not raise your taxes. Donald Trump did not quadruple the price of food. Donald Trump is not influencing or stirring the race issue. Donald Trump did not leave any U.S. officials and citizens behind in Benghazi to be slaughtered and desecrated by Muslims. Donald Trump did not create a security vacuum from which ISIS grew out of the remnants of al-Qaeda in Iraq. Donald Trump did not arm ISIS and systematically exterminate Christians, Kurds, and the innocent throughout the Middle East. Donald Trump did not betray Israel. Donald Trump did not provide hundreds of billions in financing and technology to Iran’s nuclear weapons program by way of a phony deal. Donald Trump did not give our military secrets to China. Donald Trump did not decimate and deplete our military and betray our veterans. Donald Trump did not increase our debt to over 20 trillion dollars. Donald Trump did not ruin our credit twice. Donald Trump did not institute unbalanced trade deals that sent billions of American dollars, jobs, and businesses to foreign countries. Donald Trump did not double African-American unemployment. Donald Trump did not open our borders, influence massive illegal immigration, or provide U.S. tax dollars to bring in unvetted Middle Eastern refugees to America. Donald Trump did not steal your rights, violate U.S. constitutional law, or commit treason dozens of times.” I could continue the list but I think you get the point.

We must begin the process of reclaiming America by stopping the election of as many democrat/progressives as possible. That includes the presidency this year. The first step in doing so is abandoning the insane unity of victim hood and second class status. Trump is a far cry from perfection but so are many of his detractors. Best of all, Hillary he is not. Voting for Trump, however unpleasant is just a first step. It is a step I will grudgingly take not because Trump is a paragon of virtue but because I am sick and tired of my parties version of “unity.”

Trump Cruz and Whining RINO Snowflakes

Okay, I’ve waited long enough. I knew Ted Cruz’s speech would be “controversial” because, as the old saying goes, he was between the devil and the deep blue sea. Anyone paying attention knows there is no place in the current republican party or the Trump mafia for a principled conservative. If he came out and endorsed Trump many, if not all of his loyal supporters would be besides themselves with anger. That anger would be much deserved in my mind. At the very least he would have been castigated, and deservedly so, for not defending his family.

On the other hand if he didn’t endorse Trump the Trump mafia long knives would be gleefully unsheathed. Having Ted’s father killing JFK was never enough for the likes of Trump and his supporters. Accusing Cruz’s wife of having as many affairs as Trump was also never enough. Trumps currency is lies, deception and misdirection. He is without a doubt a career politician who would now be welcomed as a fellow in either party.

The level of vitriol and hate leveled at Cruz while stunning is to be expected from the media and the Trump mafia. It is after all their main and frankly, only currency. That such hate flows from supposed conservatives speaks volumes about just how closely the republican party has morphed into today’s hate dominated, victim centered democratic party.

I have read and re-read the transcript of Ted Cruz’s speech at the convention. I can’t seem to find the nasty, self centered, suicidal or controversial part of it. In my mind he covered most of the important themes.

Despite all the vile things about Cruz and his family that Trump participated in or remained remained silent about towards the end of the campaign, Cruz congratulated Trump on his victory.

He passionately illustrated such conservative principles as freedom and the value of human life.

He urged everyone to not sit this election out. Go, he said, and vote for the candidates who will defend the Constitution.

He called on conservatives to unite to keep the cancerous Clinton out of the White House.

Apparently he couldn’t stop his “verbal assault” there. He then had the temerity to offer such apparently controversial comments as:

…America is more than just a land mass between two oceans, America is an ideal. A simple, yet powerful ideal. Freedom matters.

For much of human history government power has been the unavoidable constant in life. Government decrees and the people obey, but not here. We have no king or queen, we have no dictator, we the people constrain government.

Our nation is exceptional because it was built on the five most beautiful and powerful words in the English language, “I want to be free.”

Freedom means the right to keep and bear arms, and to protect your family.

Freedom means that every human life is precious and must be protected.

We will unite the party; we will unite the country by standing together for shared values by standing for liberty.

If you love our country, and love our children as much as you do, stand, and speak, and vote your conscience, vote for candidates up and down the ticket who you trust to defend our freedom, and to be faithful to the constitution.

The last quote seems to be one of the largest sore spots for the Trump mafia. It is, they say, proof Cruz was selfish and petulant. They see it as Cruz rejecting Trump. If they honestly believe that Cruz did not extend support to Trump after hearing these words then there is only one logical conclusion. They must believe that Trump does not love this country, his children and will neither defend freedom or be faithful to the Constitution. Cruz speaks more eloquently than Trump but his message did not sound drastically different that what Trump has been saying. It was not the subservient, slavishly ringing endorsement the Trump mafia sought but it was as close to an endorsement a principled conservative could give to an ethically challenged, highly questionable candidate.

For such heretical ideas he was booed, in classic liberal fashion, off the stage and his wife had to be escorted out of the building for her safety. No further proof is needed that Trump and Clinton supporters are not all that different.

One commentator whose name, sadly, escapes me called the reaction to Cruz’s speech the republicans “God moment”. He was referring to the Democratic convention a few years back when the convention attendees booed loudly and en mass not once but three times the mention of God. I believe he was correct. The republican party has effectively been co-opted by that same wing of the liberal establishment. Four years from now I fully expect the attendees at the republican convention will be booing God as well.

A party that believes being told to “vote your conscience” and “defend the Constitution” is problematic is no party I choose to belong to. The truth is, as another old saying goes, a long game. I suspect history will remember Cruz’s speech somewhat differently than it has been portrayed so far. I can not wait till then. On Monday I will change my affiliation from Republican to independent. Looking back I think it is something I should have done years ago.

Ted Cruz Donald Trump And The Crisis Cycle

Full disclosure, I am a huge Ted Cruz fan. Have been for years. I have followed carefully his efforts to return America to its founding principles with a certain amount of awe. Knowing full well just how far our once great nation has fallen he still sees the good in her and by default, in us. Perhaps even more wondrous, he still believes that our best days are still ahead of us. Sadly, there are precious few of us left.

I have worked with developmentally disabled adults for the last 31 years. I have noticed over the course of the last presidential campaign some striking similarities between those I serve and the supporters of one particular candidate. As I write this I can’t help but feel like I might be insulting those I work with. Still, as grandpa used to say, there is no point in denying the obvious.

The observation crystallized for me as I listened to a Trump supporter on the Rush show not to long ago. No fact would impede his argument. There was no effort on his part to even listen to, let alone try to understand, why anyone would not support his man. Like his candidate the discussion was going to be his way or the highway. Reason would not be allowed and that was that. He actually stated that there was “nothing” Trump could say that would change his mind. Wow. He calls himself a supporter. He is in fact a fanatic. Trump appeals to people like him and I think I have figured out why.

In my work we are trained regularly on what is known as the Crisis Cycle. The relative part here is what we call the crisis stage. This is the point in an outburst or aggressive behavior where the individual literally loses the ability to reason. Studies have shown that once in that state the portion of the brain that controls the ability to reason actually shuts down. This leads to all kinds of poor decisions. Watching several videos of Trump supporters has confirmed to my satisfaction that many of his supporters are in fact in the crisis stage of the crisis cycle. They literally have lost the ability to think.

But, but the peanut gallery will cry out, surely not all of Trumps supporters are such people. Of course not all of them are. The supporters who are not in crisis yet do nothing to help those who are in crisis are still part of the problem. Let’s be honest here. There are no fence sitters in the Trump camp, you are either a Trump supporter or part of the problem.

After the last seven years it’s not hard to see how anyone could have reached the crisis point. Everything good and decent has been under constant, often brutal assault. Millions of honest, hardworking church goers are routinely and publicly derided. Anyone who thinks that 6000 plus years of human history defining marriage as between a man and a women should be taken seriously is publicly berated as a hateful bigot. As is the person who thinks a man should use the mens bathroom instead of the womens bathroom. Supporting Col. Allen West, Justice Clarence Thomas, Dr. Ben Carson or the Reverend Jesse Lee Peterson means nothing if you don’t mindlessly support the Kenyan little Barry. You are still a racist. As are those who believe that just because someone can break into our country doesn’t mean they are entitled to everything they want for free. Those of us who prefer not to import moslem terrorists by the thousands are berated as xenophobic. How’s that for a scary name? Not to mention those of us who work 60-70 or more hours a week to provide for our families but have a problem with welfare queens stocking their pantries to overflowing on our dime. Then there are our veterans, sacrificed on the altar of politically motivated bonuses. We have watched helplessly as the Kenyan and his vile henchmen have systematically weaponised the IRS, Justice Department, EPA, Education Department, Housing and Urban Development against ordinary Americans and gone batshit crazy with executive orders. I haven’t even scratched the surface of the assaults perpetrated on America yet but I think I can understand how so many Americans can be in crisis at this moment.

Perhaps because of my training and overriding desire to be self-sufficient I have obtained a certain amount of immunity from the desperation that leads to crisis. Or maybe it is nothing more complicated than my remembering the words of my TKD instructor, “The angry person makes the most mistakes. Remain calm, make you enemy angry and capitalize on his errors.”

There is no doubt Trump appeals to angry people. Anger is his preferred tool. He is comfortable with it. He encourages it, feeds it, massages it and I suspect, rewards it. The one-shared quality of nearly all his supporters is a deep seated and white-hot anger. Trump then provides his supporters just enough talking points so they can feel superior to their enemy. Trump deftly keeps them at crisis level with one insane allegation after another. Because they have suspended the ability to reason, they simply cannot notice the lunacy of their positions. They are angry, they want to be angry and by God they are going to be angry. I watch Trump standing at a podium somewhere soaking up that anger like some kind of demented sponge. All that is missing is the Emperors theme from Star Wars.

I will admit, a part of me liked a lot of what Trump said in the beginning. The border wall needs to be build hard, high and fast. Anyone here illegally has only one right, the right to go back to the country they left. There is nothing more anti-American, anti human than Sharia law. Moslems and their cult of islam have no place in America. (I would consider making an exception for any moslem who publicly refutes Sharia law and the practice of Taqiyya. That said, it is a one-strike policy. Screw up and get permanently deported.) His destruction of political correctness was wonderful to behold until he replaced it with his own version, political Trumpness.

I am willing to bet nearly all of Trumps supporters, once they come down from the crisis stage they have been so skillfully maneuvered into, will suffer again. This time though the part of their brain that reasons will be fully functional. They will slowly but surely understand the destruction they wrought upon themselves and the rest of us. On this level, buyers remorse can be a real bitch. I’ll try not to tell you I told you so.

Ted, Donald and the Politics of Meaning

I spent some of the best years of my young life living in the great state of Texas. I learned to swim in Texas. I had my first high school crush (Theresa, 2nd period) in Texas. I played high school football in Texas. My grandfather and I watched his Dallas Cowboys play on TV nearly every Sunday. I helped my parents build a home on the shore of a small lake in Texas. I survived the great Texas heat wave of 63 consecutive days of over 100 degrees. I learned about respect in Texas when, at a funeral I saw everyone on the road pull to the shoulder to allow the procession to pass (even when the opposite traffic was on a divided highway). I learned to hunt, fish, shoot and camp in Texas. On a black and white TV set I watched Neil Armstrong walk on the moon live with my grandfather in Texas. I learned how to wait alone at the end of the driveway for the school bus at seven am and about the care and feeding of cows on grandpas 10 acre farm. I guess you could say I was inculcated with Texas values at a young age.

I suspect I have much more in common with Senator Ted Cruz than a well-coifed billionaire.

The recent dust up, launched by the aforementioned well-coifed billionaire, between Cruz and Trump has helped me to understand a little more about the rich man wanting to be president. In a nutshell, he has become a first rate politician. Allow me to elaborate.

When Ted Cruz mentioned Donald’s “New York” values I instantly knew to what he was referring to. I suspect everyone did. The thing is, so did Trump. As a long time supporter and even funder of “New York” values Trump knew instinctively just how damaging his past record could be in the upcoming primaries. With Cruz closing fast or even leading in some of the upcoming primary polls Trump did what any consummate politician would do, he lied.

On stage, in front of a national audience, for just a moment, wrapping himself in the compassion of 9-11 in the way Bush II was always accused of, he displayed his liberal progressive core. In the process he also managed to insult the people of the other 49 states. During his doubtlessly focus group tested, liberal approved defense of “New York” values he carefully avoided mentioning anything relevant to Teds comment. I am going to set the record straight Donald. We in Texas could have “handled” 9-11 just as well as New York did. I expect the great Americans in every state would have responded to such an event just as magnificently as New Yorkers did. That kind of response is not just the “American” way. It is the human thing to do.

The artful dodge he offered on stage that night was revealing. I don’t mean that in a positive way. What his “emotional” monologue demonstrated was that he is now willing to use the establishment politicians favorite device, demagogic misdirection. And he did it sincerely, even effortlessly. The establishment GOP’ers must be much comforted. Strawberries McCain and Amnesty Graham must be consumed with jealousy. In one fell swoop he accomplished what their years of attacking conservatives could not give them, a fawning media.

Fact is though, Teds observation hit to close to home. Donald had to cover for a lifetimes devotion to the enemies of reason. He had to cover for his support of not just abortion but partial birth abortion, the single most hideous evil I can think of. He had to cover for his long-standing support of gay marriage. He had to cover for his fondness in exercising “eminent domain” in the pursuit of profit. He had to cover for his desire to put a radical pro-abortion zealot on the Supreme Court. He had to cover for the fact that he supported a governor who said in 2014 that pro-life, pro-Second Amendment conservatives “have no place in the state of New York, because that’s not who New Yorkers are’. He had to cover for the fact that he supported Mayor de Blasio, an avowed Marxist who honeymooned in Cuba (home of political prisoners and summary executions), raised money for the Sandinistas (terrorists) and turned his back on the N.Y.P.D. He had to cover a history of supporting a government run single-payer health care system, massive big bank bailouts and higher taxes. The list of his “transgressions” against reason is nearly endless and his conversion to conservatism is extremely recent so forgive me for doubting his sincerity. It smacks a little too much of a deathbed conversion to me.

Still, despite all my misgivings I like much of what Trump is saying. The difficulty I have with him as a “conservative” arises when I do a side by side comparison of his record against Ted’s record. Ted Cruz has never wavered in the things he believes in. He has been a tireless fighter for regular, non-billionaire types. Unlike everyone else running for the highest office in the land, with the possible exception of Dr. Carson, he actually understands the Constitution. I can’t seem to shake the idea that Trumps understanding of the Constitution is a lot like his understanding of Two Corinthians.

Is Ted perfect? Not exactly but his record as a conservative is much longer and far more consistent than Trumps. That means something.

Demands for Ted to apologize came swiftly. Ted did offer an apology and I think it was illustrative of his character. Rather than playing the “hurt feel bads” game of establishment media types he demonstrated where his concerns lay. I will let him speak for himself.

I apologize to the millions of New Yorkers who have been let down by liberal politicians in that state.

I apologize to the hard working men and women of the state of New York who have been
denied jobs because Governor Cuomo won’t allow fracking…

I apologize to all the pro-life and pro-marriage and pro-second amendment New Yorkers who were told by Governor Cuomo that they have no place in New York because that’s not who New Yorkers are.

I apologize to all the small businesses who have been driven out of New York city by
crushing taxes and regulations.

I apologize to the millions of unborn children, many African-American and Hispanic, whose lives have been taken by politicians who relentlessly promote abortion on demand with no limitations.

I apologize to all of the African-American children who Mayor de Blasio tried to throw out of their charter schools that were providing a lifeline to the American Dream.

Ted could have added so much more. He could have mentioned how New Yorkers cannot be trusted to buy the right size of soda. How New Yorkers must maintain safer working conditions for criminals by disarming the law abiding public. How New Yorkers believe teaching kids in kindergarten that homosexuality is normal. (sorry but this is not education this is recruiting for pedophiles) How New Yorkers support fining someone as much as $250,000 for “mis-genderizing” some pervert.

These are “New York” values. Trump not only knows it but has financed and supported them. It is only since he decided to run for president he has began speaking out against them. For that reason alone Trump has a lot to answer for.

The Stormtroopers Smell Blood

America stands before a pair of doorways, bleeding from a thousand small cuts (think political correctness) and gasping for air from a series of staggering body blows (think mind numbingly stupid Supreme Court decisions). Behind us is the past, about which little can be done other than learning from it and understanding it. Ahead of us lies perhaps the most crucial choice (the 2016 presidential election) a generation of Americans has ever had to make.

Should we step through doorway on the left, tyranny, genocide and unparalleled human misery await. Behind this door are a legion of small-minded men determined to micro manage every aspect of your life. It is they who know best what is “good” for you. From where you live to what you eat to even whether or not your doctor can treat you, their desire to lord over us “little” people knows no bounds.

The doorway on the right offers a difficult but ultimately rewarding struggle where liberty, justice and a return to reason, common sense and decency prevail. There are some difficulties to be sure. Standing against the crowd can cause one plenty of misery. Ask any black conservative Christian. At the end of the day though they are mostly imaginary obstacles that, due to political correctness, often only appear insurmountable. What happens in the next year will decide which path we take or, if enough illegal aliens are allowed to vote are forced on to.

Unseen by most Americans to busy trying to earn a living and raise decent children two sets of stormtroopers are staging themselves for a final charge to herd as many Americans through the doorway on the left as possible. One set is clearly visible and the other set hides patiently in the shadows. After years of patient and diligent effort both sets of stormtroopers smell the blood of liberty, decency and reason in the water.

As a result of those stormtroopers efforts the last three generations of Americans have been brought up on myths instead of facts. The liberal/progressives designed it that way because truth is seldom on their side. Racism, multiculturalism, the religion of peace, intolerance, homophobia and assorted grievances real and imagined ad nauseam are their weapons of choice. The function of these myths was to attack and destroy the very concepts that made America great, the family, belief in God, the concept of self-sufficiency and the belief in American exceptionalism. Those assaults I write about regularly.

The first set of stormtroopers, wearing their black lives matter t-shirts, fists proudly thrust upwards in their Hitler like salute scream about alleged racial injustices. They go by various names, Black Lives Matter, Nation of Islam, Black Panthers etc but they all offer the same sick ideology ie, the epitome of racism, black liberation theology. What they do not realize is they are simply the pawns of a second and unseen by them set of stormtroopers.

These thugs place skin color over every thing. They believe their “blackness” allows them to do any despicable thing they want and remain immune from the consequences. They fixate on the relatively few “racist” occurrences and push the story line that these exceptions are in fact the rule. The recent Mizzu conflagration (led by the spoiled racist child of a poor black man who only made $8 million last year) is just a primer for what these color dependent thugs have in mind for ordinary Americans of all stripes who do not submit meekly to their evil ideology. Make no mistake, they are stormtroopers with all the evil connotations that the word includes. As they plan their childish and obnoxious deeds, the Kenyan looks on and smiles knowing these brutal but useful idiots have only two options for you, subjugation or elimination.

Behind the militant, racist black liberation types wait the second set of stormtroopers. They wear headscarves, suicide vests and practice virtually the same salute. They are the moslems. Their agenda of world domination is being pushed and aided at every opportunity by the Kenyan, his vile minions and millions of well-intentioned and often willfully misinformed supporters. Their version of success is beginning to show publicly. Dearborn, MI is, according to some long time residents, effectively no longer part of America. The militant death-worshiping cult of islam now has a safe forward operating base (outside of its mosques) in its prime target, America. Other American cities, in the name of multiculturalism, coexistence, tolerance etc, will fall soon. The Kenyan, with the help of liberal democratic mayors, governors and congressmen, insists on importing thousands of militant moslem fighting age men for that very reason.

The black liberation types do not see how they are being turned into cannon fodder by the militant moslems. Even if they did I doubt they would care. At this moment in time they likely believe they are capable of taking on and defeating anyone. They truly believe the Kenyan is on their side and will not actively oppose them. In this they are partially correct, he will not oppose them as long as they continue to sow the discord he seeks but neither will he allow them to impede his moslem brothers.

To the militant black theology types I would point out that it is a far different thing to intimidate a limp wristed college head or stage the takeover of a library or restaurant full of decent, law abiding people than taking on a fanatical moslem determined to die.

I have to give the moslems credit for implementing such a clever and effective strategy. Let the black liberation types start the race war then, after the fires have burned out the “religion of peace” can step in and take over a country to weak to resist. At this very moment the black clad, koran thumping vultures are circling over what they hope is soon the comatose body of the late, great America.

Despite the deliberate and intensive efforts of liberal/progressives America and the ideals that make us the greatest country in history are not yet dead. On life support perhaps, but there is still the spark of life left in us. From single sparks can come great things.

If this nation can survive until the next election and then elects a conservative (not republican) as president there may still be a chance. Me thinks it will be an uphill battle though. Lets put to rest right now the idea that we can “love, tolerate, understand” our way out of the coming trouble. The black lives matter racists, like the moslems hiding behind them, view those sentiments as either a weapon to be used against the rest of us or a terminal sign of weakness. So what is one to do then?

First must come the utter rejection of hurt feelings (outside of things like slander and libel obviously) as the basis for any level of decision making.

Second must come the rejection of the concept that skin color is relevant in anything. Being black doesn’t make you a criminal any more than being Asian makes you smart. It is your choices in life that make you whatever you are. All you black lives matter supporters, get over it already.

Third, the just application of law and order at every level from city ordinances to federal law against those advocating, supporting, sponsoring or participating in violence can help stem the tide. A determined defense and application of the law is a crucial step. Disrupt folks trying to enjoy a dinner with their family or harass students studying at a library and, if you refuse to leave when asked to do so, you need to be arrested, hauled off to jail and fined. If you resist you need to be jailed. While this may not deter the professional protester it will certainly generate second thoughts by the casual grievance monger.
Anyone, no matter their skin color or religion, who advocates violence in general or towards a group whose only sin is the color of their skin or religion of choice, belongs in prison, period. When I say prison I mean no law library, no Olympic style gym, no internet or porn channels. You get three meals a day, medical treatment if you are actually ill (you’ll have to pay for your own sex change operation though) and 24/7 Mr. Rodgers episodes. This part is relatively easy as most of the laws for this already exist either in the code or as common sense. It is the fourth part of the cure that is problematic.

Fourth, political correctness must die. It must die an open, public and hideous death. The very words political correctness needs to become the butt of every joke told. The Donald has done much to begin the process of strangling the life from the beast but we must pick up where he leaves off. PC can no longer be allowed to further such fantasies as the religion of peace, institutional racism or global warming. The time for plain speaking is upon us. I believe plain speaking has never been needed more.

Finally, America now has three generations of citizens who know practically nothing of their real history. They know even less about the ideas that built America. This needs to change. Instead of learning American history far to many students have been subjected to a litany of anti American bias cleverly disguised as Social Studies (the politically correct science of man devoid of God). Of the evils in world history these poor students remain massively and intentionally uninformed. Virtually no one who managed to plod through the education system of the last forty years understands what it meant to and for, the founders of this great county when they pledged their fortunes, lives and sacred honor to the American endeavor. Many of those brave men paid dearly in one or all of those categories, yet they never wavered. That level of courage, honor and decency exists in none of the race hustlers of black lives matter movement or, apparently, in its duped supporters. They were never even contemplated in the cult of islam. While it is honorable to want and seek justice, there is nothing praiseworthy in living a lie. The very act of choosing to hate over a proven myth must not be tolerated, rewarded or accepted by anyone, regardless of their actual or self identified skin color or religion.

Even as America stands before a pair of doorways so do each of us. We can choose the door that leads to the path that is broad, crowded and “easy” or we can choose the door that offers a path that leads to, with some struggle, peace, justice and equality. Which door will you go through? Maybe just as important, who will you take with you?
